I went into this not knowing what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a mysterious, emotional ride following court intrigue, spying, secrets, growth and passion. The FMC was deeply flawed because of her abuse as a child and being manipulated by men her entire life, and the story really focused on her internal struggle to change her mentality and find her confidence because of that. I did not predict the ending, and was shocked at the turn of events.
