A former military sniper shoots 5 people at random....or does he? One Shot is an exciting entry in the Jack Reacher series, and it was the first book of the series that got adapted.

This isn't a Reacher book that is reliant on a big twist or some major reveal from his past. This is just a straight forward investigation with a large cast of bad guys.

I read this one quickly, in just over two days. The basic writing style allows for that, though this is one that could have definitely been edited down. Child has this knack to write 4 or 4 sentences that could easily be condensed down to one.

Other than that, I really enjoyed my reread of this one, and despite it being a Tom Cruise adaption, the movie was done pretty well too.
