Between the concepts of the Thunderhead, scythes, gleaning, and the Age of Mortality, this book gave me a lot to consider in terms of morality AND mortality. I guessed at a few resolutions before they came, but overall I was surprised throughout most of the book.
After being separated, Rowan and Citra developed different views of the Scythedom and how gleaning should be done, and I enjoyed their journeys to understanding the world and how to navigate it. Of course, they can never truly return to their normal lives after entering the Scythedom the way they were thrust into it,
and I am quite curious how tides will turn in the sequels.
