Ignite is one of books in The Everyday Heroes World Series. This audio book is told in duet narration from Lark and Travis. I really enjoy duet narration, so that made the book more fun! This is an age gap romance.
Lark and Travis meet when Travis accidently clips the bike she is riding. He takes her to the hospital and stays with her. They start to have feelings for each other.
When he's at the fire station, she shows up, and it turns out his captain is her dad. So they hide their relationship from him. Both Travis and Lark are going through something. Lark had a traumatic past, and has trouble being in big crowds. Travis is going through a divorce, and his ex wife won't leave him alone.
As the book continues their feelings for each other grow. However Lark isn't sure if Travis is fully over his ex wife. What happens when the ex wife shows back up. What happens when one of their lives gets put in danger? What happens when her father finds out about their relationship?
I really enjoyed this book, and am excited to go read more about the other members of Travis's family.
