Starkly dark and sad, this manga about a girl left behind when everyone else has died or evacuated to escape a curse, only to be taken care of by an Otherworldly being, will make you feel comfort, while also being deeply unsettled. Debates over whether or not to kill her because she might be cursed -- she's just a little girl! -- and conversations between what's seen as an evil beast, but who is starkly protective of her will have you wondering what it means to be dark/evil, and the truth around protection, curses, and the other side. I recommend having the 2nd volume ready, since it ends on a cliffhanger! I didn't, and regretted that.
