Fejo, my sweet baby angel!! I’m really surprised by how much I loved this one! Vanessa in the previous books made me not super excited to read this one, and I put it off for a while. But my goodness did I enjoy this one! I felt like Fejo and Vanessa’s characters had great depth. My heart broke for Fejo - he just wanted someone to care about him instead of use him. And here comes Vanessa who says she’ll marry him and he’s SO EXCITED to finally be picked, but she is just using him for a ride home. I liked that the secret was found out before the halfway point of the story, instead of having it be dragged out for too long. I think I’m realizing that the action plot stuff in all the books of this series happens in the last 20%. That isn’t my favorite pacing for a story, but that happening in this book was less jarring to me than in previous books. And honestly the rest of the book was so good that I’m totally fine with it. It was fun to get off Clecania and see other parts of the universe. And I thought Fejo’s backstory was so interesting and heartbreaking. I love him so much
