The Quotidian Mysteries: Laundry, Liturgy and Women's Work
by Kathleen Norris
I found the writing sometimes difficult to follow (but I am also trying to read with two toddlers). However the theme was challenging for me. Viewing the daily chores that can seem insurmountable instead as a holy time to allow my mind to rest and meditate is something I could use work on. I also loved her focus on taking care of ourselves and our families and the value there is in that instead of trying to outsource everything. Overall a good read to remind us of daily time with God and daily time with family and how the daily rituals are what build relationships over time, with God and family.
