“Rule thirteen: Only a queen may shoot upon the throne. When she takes the throne, she accepts the responsibility to rule the quadrant until her dying day.”
. . . . . . . . . .
A story with a great idea, fun execution, with a twisty timeline and compelling characters but there is just something missing that I can’t quite put my finger on.
I really like the idea of a YA murder mystery overall, and with this book we get glimpses of both the past and present, which gives the mystery a very fun pace. There were some plotholes or convenient omissions, but the story overall was gripping and unpredictable enough that I enjoyed the story to the end.
