This book was amazing, although at first it was quiet slow and felt like you are thrown into it straight away, you do eventually understand what is going on. I do like how Katsa is independent, starts seeing that she isn't just a weapon that her Uncle can use. I do feel some elements were unbelievable but that is what happens when you read a supernatural story. I didn't like her disregard for the horses lives however, how she would push them to the brink of collapse. I loved her relationship with Bitterblue how she kept her safe, even though she never had any maternal instincts. I found the ending a bit disappointing, I felt her killing the King was too quck, but so glad it happened. I like how it didn't end up that Po and Katsa ending up marrying in the end, because it kept to Katsa true personality of not wanting to marry. Even though I would have loved to of seen them marry.
