Give Me a Reason
by A.L. Jackson
I really enjoyed this story which follows a young woman who needs another job to pay off a debt and joins the club where she meets her student’s father. I enjoyed this book and have heard that this book is being traditionally published so I was happy to get the indie. I enjoyed the storyline of this book. I’m all for a steamy, he falls first romance in a small town. I do have to say that the dialogue did kind of make this book cringy but it was mostly in the beginning. The pacing was good and I liked the mystery storyline. It did kind of getting boring towards the end where it the truth was reveleaed. This book is told from both Eden and Trent pov.
Eden if the FMC of the story who needs to pay off a debt created by her sister. I liked her character and seeing her work so hard but not truly for herself. Then we have Trent who loves his family and would do anything for them. He’s a great character but I have to say that I hated the way he spoke. There are many side characters but I loved Gage and the guys. The romance is he falls first, single parent, enemies to lovers, and forbidden love with some steamy scenes.
The ending was where everything was revealed. I have to say that the plot twist was expecting for me and not a total surprise. It also ended very fast. Though I would most likely read the next book. I would love to see what the other brothers have in store for us.
