The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss

adventurous mysterious reflective medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Character
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
I struggled to finish this one. Rothfuss's writing is as excellent as in the first one but all the sex scenes made me cringe. I'll buy that Kvothe is basically a genius at everything he does, but everything with Felurian felt like a young boy's fantasies.

Heterosexuality ruins another great story, SAD
