i really enjoyed this book.
i liked both MC's, that they were very different and because of that it worked, hell, might have been the only reason it did, one being so ridged while the other going where life took him. I did feel however, or maybe I wanted something a little more from Toby, a realisation from him even if it didn't change the outcome of the whole book.
i don't believe you need to read the series in order to read this book, but it would def help know who at least Tobias is and who the handful of other characters that came into the book, and how they played into the world, as it isn't explained but I also don't think it's necessary to know.
I'm really looking forward to more, if or when they decide to write them (the end note says they are)
