Not Your Average Hot Guy by Gwenda Bond

Did not finish book. Stopped at 63%.

 I got to 56% before I had to call it quits.

Here's my review.

1) <spoilier>Meg and her Callie's brother just randomly announce that they are in love....after Callie and Meg are freed from the cult kidnappers. At the beginning, it was hinted that there was more than a little somethin' going on between the two of them. But to just say that "We are in love, Callie" in the middle of facing devils....da fuq. Oh! and the fact that Jared was all "Callie, I wouldn't react like this if you were with one of my friends" wut? Jared is gaslighting Callie and Meg in the beginning

2) The relationship between Callie and Luke isn't relationshiping.

Callie goes from "he's a demon" to "yes, touch me" in the span of 2 pages. Nothing has changed except she is in his room

3) Callie as a character annoyed me to no end.

I wish I had the balls to be sassy to the literal king of hell after 1 minute of meeting him. AND, the fact that she got so pissed when she found out that Luke was an intern made no sense. Like, okay Karen, he might not be a manager but he IS STILL A FUCKING DEMON FROM HELL WHO COULD BURN YOU WHERE YOU STAND. And, in the mist of all of this, she discusses Hogwarts houses with another demon....like this whole thing is just a normal day for her Callie's overall character came off to me as juvenile instead of a recent college graduate.

5 hours wasted. I beg you, spare yourself.
