Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney
5.0
Again with the twist!
I swear, Alice Feeney has a way of writing these insane twists that I am not expecting. The entire book, I think I know what’s going on, and what is going to happen, but I was completely wrong.
I had to sit for a minute to put everything together once the twist was revealed, and it was done perfectly. It was not what I was expecting at all, and I feel like I have to read this again to see if I can pick up on any subtleties.
She writes so beautifully, the metaphors, the allegories, the descriptions, are just so well done. There were many instances where I empathized with the characters, having experienced the exact emotions that were described, and again, Feeney did such a fantastic job writing them.
