ugh i wish i liked this.
it was more a smutty book than it was an actual retelling and i'm gravely disappointed by it. plot was attempted but i genuinely feel like it could've been dragged out. jazmine has been kept sheltered her whole life and then all of a sudden her life is surrounded by sex? no adventuring, no seeing what she likes, nothing, and then by the end she just happens to take her place as 'queen'? the romance lacked, and there was absolutely no chemistry between these two characters. and it sucks because i've read good fairy tale retellings with great romance!
