So "Obscene" is the story of Morgana and Julien's son Mason and this is his and Katies story.
He is certainly a chip off the old block but compared to his father's past antics Mason is practically sane even with his unique compulsions that drive him to take things apart for his macabre art inspirations.
despite his penchant for murder and dismemberment, he was actually quite a sweetie, well to Katie anyway.
His dominance and control are definitely at the forefront as he drives this obsession with his Katie-Kat to it's full completion.
He wants to immerse her in his world so she has no choice but to stay within his deviant but loving embrace and teach her to embrace her wicked side completely.
I liked Katie and she is certainly wide open to this lifestyle of decadence and death.
She even finds mason's little hobby strangely intriguing which just shows her level of wired wrongness.
So Julien is back in this one and as much as I loved checking on him it also felt so bittersweet with how things finished in the previous book.
We also get to meet Mason's cousin Declan, who along with Ethen is in the next instalment of this series "Depravity" which is M/M/F and doesn't disappoint either.
So this series is not for the faint of heart on a 1-10 scale of darkness this is definitely an 11 this is extreme stuff very hostel in nature.
Me I love this type of fiction and I read this in one complete sitting.
This really is a great read if you like your boundaries completely obliterated.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Obscene: A Dahlia Saga Novel.
