Foul Lady Fortune is a testament to the huge improvement in Chloe Gong as an Author since These Violent Delights. The book takes place a few years after the events of Our Violent Ends starring Rosalind Lang as the main character this time, Juliette Cai's cousin.
Instead of being ruled by her heart like Juliette, Rosalind is ruled by logic and her mind, she is a total badass who is desperate for redemption after her previous treachery.
I really loved her as a character and it was good to have her and Celia finally get into the spotlight.
The book was also really readable and I was hooked as I read throughout the story. The epilogue really makes the book end with a revelation and I am hoping for certain events to happen in the sequel.
