I finished this book today and i found myself left with only a lot of questions. The story was ok, nothing overly original, an interesting blend of the CEO and Military factions that are becoming quite common now (not that that's a bad thing, the readers like them so the writers use them, it makes sense). The female heroine was extremely emotional, not really a factor i like but i am not the ideal audience so i won't touch on it but she didn't win any points with me when she came home to find her fiance fucking her friend and then thought they could work through it. I mean really, kick him in the bollocks woman (Btw, that doesn't get a spoiler warning because it's within the first few pages and very obvious).

The Male hero however, him i didn't understand. Some of questions were answered when i found out the author was a navy wife, who else would choose a SEAL as the character's background, however i found it extremly difficult to believe the Navy's Special Forces would be sent into landlocked nations like Afghanistan, to regions where the biggest body of water was a river to do operations typically performed by America's Delta Force or Rangers (or, if they want it done properly, they ask the UK to send in the SAS). My list of questions mostly revolve around him and his back history and general behavior, but i won't go into that for fear of spoilers.

What i will say however is if you read a lot of Jack Higgins or Andy McNab esque fiction, don't read because you might get a little ticked off. If however you want a romance story with a alpha male, fun wit and a few sexy scenes give this a read and i' sure you'll be satisfied.

(Possible spoiler ahead) BTW, if on the off chance the author does happen to be reading this, could i suggest she research military operations a bit more fully, this is directed towards the ending chapter as if Jackson did what you described he deserved to get his head blown off for such stupidity.

Going into hostile territory in A single humvee, Dressed in Uniform, and Speaking English is not a bright idea. A full convoy could do that and walk out alive if they're very lucky. Your boys should have gone under cover in local dress, with a guide. Also, body armor is supposed to stop bullets, particularly AK47 rounds, could i suggest next time an RPG hitting the ground next to him. The explosion would be enough to wound and knock Jackson to the ground and the shrapnel damage would cause enough bloodloss to explain his passing out, but he'd probably survive.
