Moonstruck Volume 3: Troubled Waters by Grace Ellis
Wrapping up my time with Moonstruck here. Love love love the expressive, colourful, adorable art, and the world—the most “urban fantasy” urban fantasy I have literally ever seen—is so fun. Kit’s design and Cass’s “dream world” were definite highlights in this volume.
But the characters are kind of…a lot? I couldn’t remember much from vols 1 & 2, but I knew I found Julie & Selena exhausting, and that continued here. Everyone just bickers and fights and cries. I commend the authors for balancing the emotional heaviness with lots of fun shenanigans and cute scenes, but I find it to be too much of a drag when the 2 MCs are so very…much.
