I am so happy that I finally gave this trilogy a chance after many years of it being on my TBR. Reid and Lou truly had to work so hard to find their happiness, as well as the rest of thei group, although there were some deaths that shouldn't have happened, my heart was terrible broken.
Anyway, I think this was a good ending to the story. The whole trilogy is very character based which makes it feel like the pace is a bit slow at times. Personally, as far as I like the characters, I don't mind character driven stories like this one. The whole trilogy was told in dual first person POV, Lou's and Reid's, which I liked because they are very perfectly imperfect characters.
I liked mix of romance and fantasy. The romance was not that cheesy, there were very few sex scenes, which I liked because sometimes those scenes doesn't really add much to the story.
I don't know if these books will be on my list of favorites, but at least for now, they are very close to be part of it.
I can't wait to read more of Shelby's books.
