Illuminae by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman

5.0

THIS BOOK WAS PHENOMENAL! Hands down the most different book i have ever read.
I gave this book Five Stars

Illuminae is a YA Sci-Fi fantasy (kind of love story?) novel, and it is a monster at almost 600 pages. But it was definitely worth the read. Although in the beginning the characters were a bit undefined and the story was quite confusing (my only issue with this book,) i quickly grabbed hold of the plot and story line. This story is told through confidential government files, E-Mails, chats, textual art, and technology.

I have never read a book in this format before and originally thought it would be kind of confusing but it was easy to adjust and i got sucked in!

There were so many plot twists and everything is described in surprising detail. There was clearly MAJOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT by the end of the novel and i was extremely impressed with the way the story progressed.

I feel like my favorite character was AIDEN, even though it isn't human i felt like he became more than a computer by the end of the story and i cant wait to see him again in the next book. (See what i did there? ;))
