I usually don’t bother reading books where the synopsis tells me absolutely nothing about the story. However, the poem-style synopsis instantly had me hooked (see what I did there? 🤣 ok, I’ll show myself out).
I started out wishing this story wasn’t written in a contemporary setting, but quickly forgot about my misgivings and ended up really enjoying the story.
I think it would be a good dark romance for beginners to the genre. It was very easy to read and had plenty of nods to the original Peter Pan story to make fans happy.
There’s a subtle D/s dynamic feel to the relationship between James and Wendy which I enjoyed.
I binged this whole book in just over a day while at home awaiting COVID test results. A great way to pass the time.
