I wouldn't change a thing about this story. It's a well balanced ride through a late 20th century New York that's filled with mystery and a good number of sobering truths. McKay does a great job of diversifying her cast and describing the challenges created by their individual identities in a way that is often subtle and always elevating. Thank you, Ami McKay. Wherever you are, I wish you well.
