Dare Me by Megan Abbott

I would give it three and a half stars if allowed... I really enjoyed this book, but I didn't LOVE it. This was a part mystery/suspense and part coming-of-age novel. It centers around high school cheerleaders (which would not normally lead me to pick it up, but it was a gift from my brother and his books are always interesting at the least). This is a dark, tense book and the descriptions of the cheer aspects fit remarkably well to both parallel the other aspects of the story and to propel the tale forward.
