The Lives of Christopher Chant by Diana Wynne Jones

3.0

On page 390: That's a fatphobia dump almost worthy of J. K. Rowling. Also the misogyny of Uncle Ralph—and thanks to him, also Christopher—kind of makes me feel murderous. On the other hand, Uncle Ralph turns out to be the main villain.

This series is definitely not my favorite D. W. J. work. Howl's Moving Castle is such a delight, as is Dark Lord of Derkholm
