Drawing Calm: Relax, Refresh, Refocus with 20 Drawing, Painting, and Collage Workshops Inspired by Klimt, Klee, Monet, and More by Susan Evenson

4.0

I think it's really important to understand that this isn't a book for ~artists~. This is a book that promotes creativity as healing, and the goal is not to become AMAZING at the end (although you might! Go you!)

I like that this book was accessible from a lot of levels, and played with different materials and mediums that most people don't really think of. And it wasn't focused on a final outcome, but on finding a process you enjoy that induces calm and relieves stress. It's accessible from any level, however "unartistic" you think of yourself. You can put water on tissue paper! You can draw circles. You can make hash marks and stick figures. Have fun.
