An absolutely scathing satire on the social environment of white celebrities and starlets. Didions writing is blunt, visceral but also never shares too much. Despite the main character being reprehensible the cruel and unrelenting way she is treated by everyone around you will haunt you. The depression of the main character is almost nothing Ive seen before. I truly feel the nothingness she knows of!
