Mary: An Awakening of Terror by Nat Cassidy

5.0

5/5⭐️

Mary is ordinary, she's plain, she's a little weird. She's single, child-free, with no friends and one family member. When her sickly aunt calls her out of desperation to come back to her small desert town and help her, it's the beginning of a terrifying journey.

-reincarnation
-cults
-male superiority complexes
-menopause
-invisibility of middle aged women

I love this. I love everything about this. How realistic it is to be an invisible woman in the world, to have healthcare providers brush off your concerns, to come to terms with that fact that you're taught to not take up space. And all this written by a cis/het man??
