something i love that this book did well was the moments surrounding joe's death / dying. it showed a level of realism that i appreciated; the humor that people are able to find in life's toughest moments and how people lean on each other in their grief. the plotline surrounding him was the highlight for me, the romance was eh. absolutely hated the 'firstname fucking lastname' bit.
