Black Widow #2 by Mark Waid, Chris Samnee

4.0

Finally, I got my hands on Black Widow #2! So there was a lot of set up in #2 of this series, but we still get some ass-kicking Natasha Romanova. It's interesting to see some push-back when it comes to the Black Widow. Some agents don't trust her, and maybe they have a right not to. I was shocked by Director Hill's offer to Agent Elder, but it makes sense at the same time. The Weeping Lion seems like a really interesting villain, and I can't wait to see what his motives are. He's sort of foolish though if he really thinks he can blackmail the Black Widow. Better men have tried, my friend.

Overall, I think this series is off to a great start. It's fast-paced and exciting, and the art by Christ Samnee and the coloring by Matthew Wilson is fantastic. It feels like you're inside of an action movie. I can't wait to see where Natasha's story goes here.
