The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

5.0

From a person who got her mind blown :
Man! Did this book beat every meaning of the word unpredictability to shame or what?I mean I swear you will not be able to decide who the villain is, who died and who killed ! Also ironically enough everything about the screams, " This is so Sager style!" . The easily described thing is that the book has female lead(s) but you cannot say which one. It is like a whole new reading experience where the villain actually has legit reasons that make you emotional and yet they are at the 'piss everyone off level' smartness that you can't help but enjoy their downfall.

Every plot is satisfying and perfect to me, except the love interest. I really wanted a happy ending for Emma but I am not complaining. The climax of every book written by Sager needs to be the chapter where you find out something that the whole world was clueless about and also the time where your jaw is not to be found in its initial position. Once you let the everything sink in, you will definitely hear these words in your head, " Did not see that coming! " .

After I finished reading it, looking back, it seemed that after jumping at every scary moment I should really recommend it to add horror in description. Even the cover is scary, Jeez ! Actually recommending to every person that likes thriller and suspense. You won't regret it. I finished it in less than 36 hours. I don't know if that is less or more to you, but admittedly these were the most interesting, unpredictable and perfectly utilized hours for weeks. Then, I read Final Girls!!!
