I had absolutely no idea this series had queer characters. Even after it was alluded to in book two, I never expected actual, on-page gayness. Very progressive for a 2010’s paranormal series and probably my favorite part of the book.
I wouldn’t say I was disappointed in the ending as I kind of knew we wouldn’t really get a lot of explanations, but i’m still not the biggest fan. Overall I enjoyed this series and found some really great quotes, but I don’t think the writing is completely for me.
