The Mist by Carla Neggers

3.0

If you are going to read this series you need to read all the books close together. The story lines, as well as the time lines all cross over. This story was supposed to be about Lizzie Rush and Will Davenport. Its suppose to be a romantic thriller, but you really do not get to delve into their story. You are still enmeshed in Abigail's and Keira's stories from the first two books. This is all well and good, but I fell almost everything that happened could have happened in the other story.

Abigail has been kidnapped by Norman who is running from the FBI. He wants to punish John March and Simon for their roll in his downfall. Lizzie has secretly been spying on Norman even though she is not a spy, just an adventurous hotelier. Will is still on his quest to help Simon and that includes looking after Keira, and meeting Lizzie at the same time.

Overall the story was okay, but very convoluted. It is almost too big for its britches, and I am kind of Happy there is only one left in the series. Hopefully this last title wraps everything up nice and neat.
