Further To Fall by Catherine Cowles

5.0

I adored Carter and Austin. This book has some of my favorite tropes and was actually the first Catherine Cowles' book that I ever read!

Carter is a bit of a jerk at the beginning, and Austin slowly works her way into his life and his heart, but he doesn't know what to do with that and does something extremely stupid. Like idiot worthy, but forgivable. Austin needs time to move on, plus she has a lot of other personal life things happening, so Austin and Carter go there separate ways for a while, and Austin needs to take the time to prove he can be the man she deserves. When he finally does wake up, he realizes she's it, and he has to grovel, like a lot.

Austin was sweet, a bit naïve at the beginning, but she learns quickly. Her sweetness is part of her charm and it helps her to forgive. She is still one of my favorite female characters.

This book is a story of betrayal, of second chance, with a lot angst and toss in stalker, it's the perfect binge worthy romance that will keeps you reading.

With outside forces working to keep Carter and Austin apart, but they fight for each other and it's swoon worthy. This book opened my eyes to the big, wide world of Catherine and I absolutely love her books and characters!!
