While Leky's writing style is perfection to me, easy to follow, a perfect mixture between humorous and serious, and the wonderful insertment of elements of magical realism is highly enjoyable, I cannot give this book a star-rating. While Leky's other book is light-spirited and easy going, this one felt very heavy, tense and sad. It was not the right book for me this time in my life and therefore, I will not rate it. If you love books that make you cry, this is for you! The characters are loveable, the prose is gorgeous and the plot is surprising and original.
