I did enjoy this book, I thought the plot was overall very good and it did entertain me and I was curious to see what happened how it ended and everything. I did have a few issues with it.
The book from the beginning hooked me but the pace slowed down after the first one to two chapters. There's a lot of building up to the latter half of the book. While I do feel like it was necessary for it, it was a lot, but it did pick back up the last few chapters. It still kept my interest all the way through, it's just not what I thought it was going to be. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of the therapy sessions that are sprinkled throughout the book, but I do understand the necessity of them.
The horror is more a linger, on the edge of your seat horror. It does kind of come to fruition at a few point, but I still feel like there is a lot to be desired in it. It's a very mild horror. Honestly, it is more of a suspense than horror.
