What a great conclusioin to this awesome series! The first book - The Prison Healer - was an absolute highlight for me - it was seriously sooo good and had me shouting out loud with all the plot twists and aweful cliffhanger... book 2 - The Gilded Cage - was a little disappointing for me and therefore I wasn't as hyped for book 3 anymore. That being said, I was proven wrong and highly enjoyed it!
Lynette Noni's writing was amazing and I loved that we ventured outside the palace/city and Zalindov itself to discover other places on the continent - I loved to read about the other kingdoms and their rulers a lot, seeing how different each of them are.
I have to mention the characters because ohhh boy, do I love them - Lynette creates such beautiful and unique characters that you cannot help but fall in love with... (almost) all of them, seriously!
I mentioned this in my review for book 2 already but I have to say it again... I absolutely ADORED Caldon, I think he's my favourite character of the entire series... we definitely need a book about him and a certain other person
