Hickory Dickory Dock by Agatha Christie

5.0

Much to his surprise Miss Lemon informs Poirot that she has a sister who runs a students hostel in Hickory Road. Concerned by a spate of petty thefts in the hostel the Miss Lemon’s sister Mrs Hubbard asks Poirot to speak with the students.

Poirot advises that the police should be brought in to investigate this is just a ploy to scare the thief in revealing themself. The ploy works and a female student admits to some of the items stolen, Poirot fears there are more serious criminal activity afoot at Hickory road and his instincts prove correct when a student is murdered.More murders happen before the great detective explains it all. In my opinion this is a good story. Totally surprised by who is identified as the murderer.
