Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
5.0
… and just like that Lyssa Kay Adam’s is one of my favourite authors now?!
When Novel Friends Bookclub chose The Bromance Bookclub as our first read, it was out of my usual genres, and I really enjoyed it. However I didn’t entirely love Thea, and her sister Liv, in my opinion got in the way. I loved the guys of the club, though.
Let’s fast forward to book 2; I now love, Liv. I did miss out on a book subplot in this one, like there was in the first, however Mack’s backstory surrounding his love for romance novels certainly made up for that.
This book dealt less with miscommunication, and more with enemies to lovers (hello new favourite trope alert). It also explored some darker backstories and subplots (content warnings below).
This series has been the perfect ‘escape from reality’ binge read!
Content Warnings: Sexual Assault, Murder, Employer Coercion, Sexual Coercion
