The basic premise for this series is that Jimmy is a musician who has got back in the music business after writing amazing songs... the catch?... People have to die for the amazing song to be written!

There are of course twists and turns as you read!

We get to meet a whole variety of different characters, and in Book 2, we see Jimmy and Kid going to LA for Jimmy's Comeback to really kick in.

We have Jimmy (Jimmy is Jimmy), mysterious characters (Kid and Aksel), funny characters (Wendy), nasty characters (Jack and crew) and plain psychotic characters (Ma Lantern) plus a few newbies!

Guy has a really brilliant way of writing in that it feels like you are watching the drama unfold but swooping in and out of their lives. He also had a touch of soap opera in there, which makes for some hilarious moments.

The descriptions of the places and the way that Guy introduces the characters and their actions brilliantly so you can really picture what's happening in your head - this is a talent in itself.

I went straight into Book 2 but have since bought Book 1 to read too, though these books CAN be read as standalone as Guy explains anything that's needed to be known in the course of the writing.

If you want mystery, murder and thrill rolled up and tied in a humorous bow, then this is the book for you!

I can't actually wait to start on Book 3.

Brilliant book and highly recommend!
