One in a Millennial: On Friendship, Feelings, Fangirls, and Fitting In by Kate Kennedy

reflective slow-paced

3.0

I listened to this book and I found it similar to the author’s podcast:  verbose and singsongy, repetitive, and focused on her own very specific adolescent touchstones. (The latter is part of her disclaimer at the beginning that these are truly the observations and experiences of ONE person in a generation of individuals, so I don’t fault her for this at all.) This appeals to a lot of people but I don’t think I shared enough of her coming of age experiences, at least until college, to relate. There are definitely sections that did resonate and I appreciated the observations she had to share.
