I enjoyed the atmosphere of this book. The plot is also very easy to get sucked into, although it is very predictable. The moral ambiguity of almost everyone in this story was well done.
My main gripe this this book is the lack of depth with every character, especially Immanuelle. The author does not do enough character work for me to believe most of the relationships in this story, especially between Immanuelle and her grandmother. The emotional beats are mostly lackluster.
