Another Brandon Sanderson book. I thought I had read all of his works, but there seems to be still some more. This was a surprise and a small disappointment.
Brandon Sanderson has this way where he pulls off some of the craziest ideas with perfect execution. And Legion sure has a crazy idea behind. Stephen Leeds aka Legion is able to hallucinate a lot of people that are experts in different fields of work and with help from hallucinations or aspects as he likes to call them, he solves many cases successfully. Here, it is the case of a missing man who possesses a mysterious camera that can show the past of a location if it was captured through it's lense. Just imagine the possibilities.
Brandon Sanderson is a proud Catholic, but he always manages to talk about religion in his books. This book has some really interesting arguments and counter arguments about what religion actually is and how if affects the people that follows them. To do this despite being a believer is something really appreciable and I love Brandon Sanderson more for this.
Brandon Sanderson has some of the best endings for his books. But this book has a very underwhelming ending. Maybe this is because of it's length which is very short. Maybe an actual novel length would have done overall justice to the story. But hands down, the best thing about this book has to be Stephen Leeds and his band of hallucinations.
There is a sequel, which is twice as big as the first one and seems to be better than this and I am immediately starting it. Finally, a very enjoyable story that falters at the very end, but is still worth because of Brandon Sanderson and it is a must read for his fans.
