This spin off series from the Elfhame universe follows a grown up Oak and Suren on a quest to rescue the disgraced Mason from the clutches of the evil Lady Nore
I felt that this book lacked a lot of the intrigue and depth of character from the original trilogy, as the characters were already established I feel that much of their development is overlooked leaving more time to explore the plot
Overall not a bad book however I struggled to get invested in the plot and characters until the very end. Probably won’t be reading the sequel.
