Woooow, this was awful. Just about everything about Snuff didn't work for me. It's a story with deeply hatable and shallow characters, an interesting premise that fails to deliver, a dull, flat, and often laughable prose, and tween-level humor. This book also has the dumbest porn puns I've ever read... "World Whore 3," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nuts," "Chitty Chitty Gang Bang," "The Da Vinci Load," “Gropes of Wrath,” “On Golden Blonde,” “Guess Who’s Coming at Dinner"... you get the idea. Thank God it was short.
So why am I giving it two stars instead of one? I'll tell you. The only kick I got out of this read is imagining Butt-Head (from Beavis and Butt-Head) narrating the book, punctuating almost each paragraph with his trademark "huh huh, huh, huh huh" while Beavis laughingly repeats every dirty word in the background. In fact, I would have given it 5 stars had they hired Mike Judge to narrate it. Comedy gold. Otherwise, yeah, one of the worst books I've ever read.
