It actually took me a little bit to get into this, particularly with all the made up language/slang that's heavily flung at you in the beginning. I was just kind of meh about the first book. It felt kind of cheesy over the top at first, but as it went along I got used to it and the slang also got a little less used as well. The second and third books really picked up and made book 1 retrospectively better. As a whole I really liked it.
