Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune

5.0

No sophomore slump for Carley Fortune. While this might not be quite as good as Every Summer After, it’s close enough for five stars. I could hear the lake breezes rustling through the trees. I could smell (and wished I could taste) the sourdough. And the feels! Fern grappling with the sudden loss of her mother and a shift in her immediate plans. Will resurfacing with his own hidden pain. There is depth to the characters, even those in supporting roles. The author retains automatic “add to TBR” status.
