Not at all a challenging or even groundbreaking novel-- but it's charming, fun, and fast. If I had read this in middle school, I think I would have loved it even more. The characters were relatable and real (as Levithan so often delivers), but the most stand-out aspect of the book was the fact that not everything was wrapped up into a perfect bow. Friendships were left torn as they so often are (yet rarely in literature). Sweet ending-- if you're looking for a quick and lovable read, I recommend.
