I didn't get the humor all the time in this book! There were times I found so absurd that it's funny though. It reminds me of Netflix's Bubblegum in some ways, which I didn't always laugh at either. However, it's a quick read with really silly stuff. It was light and a good break in between my Murakami novels. I'm going to read another book by this author because I like her writing and the main character's observations. I'm sure she won't disappoint.
