i found this book so fascinating. learning about another culture, through the eyes of such an iconic and unique (especially from my own culture) role within society was eye opening, and powerful. i felt the full range of emotions: happy, sad, scared, surprised, worried, angry. and i’m not certain if it was her, or the translation, but her way with words often swept me away.
it’s also a stark reminder that we all have our own challenges in life, and with belief and through following whatever guiding life we have in each moment, we can make it through.
